  25. What is the character set on the host?  If it is Shift-Jis, there is
  26. no translation involved.  However, host-resident Japanese text is usually
  27. JIS X 0208 or EUC or other code, not Shift-JIS, in which case you need to
  28. tell Kermit which host character set is being used so it can translate
  29. appropriately.  See section 8.6 of the KERMIT.UPD file for details.
